Tricks to fix pixelation
I have checked all leads are plugged in properly. I have retuned the channels. My tv ariel was replaced just last year. Dispite all this I am getting pixellation and picture jumping. I have used bt vision for the past few years without any issues so I don't understand why I am getting this with my new youview box. Please help. There are no issues with my actual tv channels, only when using the youview box. Go to Solution. Welcome to the community forum. If you are still having issues after following those steps, please post back on this thread. Turning my box off and on worked for about 3 days but then the pixellation returned. I turned the box off and on again and it worked but this morning the pixellation is back. I don't want to have to keep turning mybox off and on every few days! I contacted bt support the other day about my issue and I was to do a factory reset. I duly did and after 24 hrs the problems started again. I repeated this process and the same thing happened. So I contact bt support again tonight to be told to do another factory reset. I explained I have already done this twice to be told that doing a factory reset several times resolves this issue. What I want to know is how many times is several times before someone will admit there is an issue with my box? I had a similar problem but only with the HD channels. If you feel the back of the boc around the aerial socket, is it a bit on the hot side? This was the problem with mine and it needed to be replaced, with a BT engineer came round and did. Yippee, six factory resets is finally enough to move on to the next step, an engineer. Only to be told I can't have an engineer as my tv package is a different account to my phone and broadband. I explained its been that way since i joined bt several years ago but apparently its a fault that needs fixing before I can have an engineer. Don't understand what difference that makes but I'm now waiting for a call back to fix my account before I can have another call back to arrange an engineer. I so wish I'd never parted with my old bt vision box as I am so fed up now. Well, an engineer finally came out to see me yesterday and said my signal was too strong for the box and that I needed a filter. At no point did anyone say I would be charged for this and I can't understand why I was. My ariel is fine with my tv and old bt vision box and as far as I understand its just the youview bix that needs the filter.
