This welding device offers easy setup and a lot more convincing features that make it very reliable and high performer. This welding device needs power input of only V to V and it can be operated anywhere without any special set up necessary for power supply. With the NEW Eastwood Pro welding device, not only one will get the work done fast, but one will also get a satisfactory weld. Some of its special features are as follows. This welding device can be used in professional fields where TIG welding is necessary, like shipyards, maintenance shops, ranch, manufacturing industries, automotive workshops and many more. Welding enthusiasts dealing with thinner metals can also use this welding device. It is also a good choice for those who have welding as hobby. The Eastwood Pro TIG welding device is constructed with MOSFET technology and inverter that makes the device deliver optimum performance at an easily affordable price than any other welding device of this type. One important advantage of this welding machine is that it operates either on volts or volts, so it can be plugged in to the normal home power socket for power supply and it can work from anywhere, as no special power supply is required. Depending on the input power it has the ability to switch from V to V automatically. The foot pedal and amperage control can be adjusted infinitely, which allows maximum accuracy in stainless steel and aluminum material welding. Pre and pro gas flow adjusting capability provides better arc starting and stabilization and also cools down the beads. The optional thumb control allows the user to control the machine if the foot pedal cannot be operated due to bad position. The Eastwood Pro has some limitations; due to the fixed frequency limit, the beads are formed a little wider that might result in cracking. This unit is only used for TIG welding. If other types of welding are required, then one can go for the welding devices that offer the desired welding type. The Eastwood Pro has all the new technical features and it can be set up in five easy steps, which include adjustment of AC or DC, amperage settings, Pre and post gas flow adjustment, AC clearance setup and finally tuning the machine and starting the work. It comes with these additional items. This TIG welding device is an ideal choice for those who seek good performance and high quality features in an affordable price. Check latest price and Discount. What I am wondering about is the "high frequency". A few of the models also offer Tig. This is outside of my abilities never done it! In any event, even if it worked - somehow - as a very basic Tig machine I don't intend to get the rest of the kit gas bottle, regulator, whatever anytime soon. For a few extra bucks, is it worth pursuing for future use or best to get a proper Tig rig if-when I want to pursue it? Thanks for any insight. Tags: None. Throwing the term "duty cycle" in there makes it gibberish. I found that exact line in the description of an Amazon product. Some people use a stick welder with a TIG stinger to do scratch start tig welding, While it works, it's no where near as flexible as a full TIG welder. I'd save the bucks and pick up one of the more popular China imports later. The AHP that I have works well and has lasted 4 years so far. At the end of the project, there is a profound difference between spare parts and extra parts. Location: SF East Bay. Comment Post Cancel. My opinion about this is very harsh so I'll keep it to myself. The first thing I always look at on a welder is the duty cycle. It's a good indicator of the overall construction. It's also important because beginners are likely to try to use it till the overlheat protection turns it off. These numbers are sometimes deceiving since in many cases the accessories can't handle the full power for the rated duty cycle. For instance, a 17 TIG torch is only rated for amps. The Vulcan Protig gives the rating for amps 2 and a half minutes out of 10 but not the amp numbers. When you compare the Amazon model with the Vulcan, you see that the Vulcan has a lower rating on Stick welding. The Metal Butcher.
