Predictive Method: Predicting with Grahas as KarakasThere are many books on Nakshatras or lunar mansions of the Moon available in the market. Most of these books contain voluminous and theoretical details on Nakshatras including Nakshatra deities, symbols, tattvas, desires and body parts represented by each nakshatra. These books provide a good solid background about nakshatras but do not explain the reader how to utilize this knowledge. At the most, these books will describe characteristics of the native based on their Nakshatra in most cases taken as Nakshatra occupied by Moon. They ignore the Nakshatra occupied by other planets. In this book we intent to cover predictive techniques based on each Nakshatra. As is evident from the name, we will be covering techniques of prediction using nakshatras. These techniques were first revealed by 5aptarishis Astrology through 5aptarishis Facebook groups which include:. Readers who are connected with Saptarishis astrology groups were asked to test these techniques and post the examples. Readers from different parts of the world contributed various examples for these techniques. This book is the outcome of this research. Unlike other books in the market, we have also included examples where the technique is not working. We acknowledge contribution of people who have contributed to this research and express our gratitude towards them. We have modified original posts from contributors to eliminate any typos, short-forms and grammatical mistakes. Due to the size restriction, this book is divided into 3 parts each containing techniques related to nine nakshatras. This part contains first nine nakshatras - from Ashwini to Ashlesha. Each part is self-contained and can be read without reference to other parts. After reading one or more techniques, many educated readers may test a particular technique on a few charts and may find that the technique is not working. However, it should be kept in mind that these are yogas combinations and other factors in the rashi chart should support these yogas or these techniques may be applicable in specific divisional charts. They have compiled the data, created charts and added explanation for each example included in this book. Most of the charts used in this book are created using Jagannatha Horo also known as JHorn versions 8. All charts are created using Traditional Lahiri Ayanamsa. LMT is used wherever applicable. Source of birth details - for celebrity charts, birth details and facts are taken from Astro. We have also used facts available on Wikipedia. We have listed down the Facebook name of all contributors as it appears on Facebook.
Predicting with Nakshatras: Tara Bala
So if you born in the constellation of Jyestha and your moon was there then Jyestha is counted as 1 and is your Janma Nakshatra and then Mula would counted as 2Purva Shadha would be counted as 3, Uttar Shadha would be counted as 4, Shravana would be counted as 5 and Dhanishata would be 6 and Shatabhisha would be 7 and Purvabhadra Pada would be 8t and Uttarbhardra Pada would be 9. There is a complex numerology inherent in the numbers and there is a deep significance and connection to the unfoldment of dashas and transits. Here in Part 2 we will explain the connection to transits. Andrew Foss in Yoga of the Planetsconnects the 9 positions to planetary rulers and to the sequence of the dasha lords. My sense and own addition is that we can also connect the energies to key houses and I have added this to my discussion below but it is still work in progress. These become very important with larger and slower moving transits through them like Saturn and Rahu and Ketu and even Jupiter as these planets stay there a longer time. They also impact your dasha sequence great but it will take a whole article to discuss this in more detail in Part 3. Below is a detailed analysis if each position from the birth moon or ascendent for timing fruition of transits or the power of natal chart positions:. There is a conflict with Jyotish scholars whether the 1 st position is beneficial or vulnerable. My sense it is like the 1 st house in that it is both. Also Scorpio is 8 houses from Aries and has an Astama or eight house influence. While difficult to explain quickly here, if the birth star falls in certain rising sign and is connected to a badhaka influence or an 8 th house influence, then it can cause problems. Jamna Nakshatras are 1,10 and 19 and are connected to Mercury. If your moon falls in a constellation ruled by Mercury at birth then all the other Mercury owned constellations have a Jamna relationship. Hence I was born in Jyestha so Revati the 10 th position and Ashlesha the 19 th position are all Jamna or have a birth star influence. The number two in Vedic astrology is always associated with gains, storage and accumulation of wealth. In your natal chart, planets placed here bring gains during their dasha periods where as malefic planets here may make a person feel deprived. Transits through the 2 nd star can bring gains and hence longer transits of Jupiter through the 2 nd star can seem particularly profitable. It is connected to acquisition, enjoyment, good fortune, blessings, glory and prosperity. If your birth star is Swati Libra 6. For example if you were born in Jyestha Nakshatra then the 2 nd nakshatra from there would be Mula an hence all Ketu stars would bring good fortune when benefics transited them. It is ruled by the Sun. Hence this position is critical for acquiring or taking away wealth. Given that Saturn and the Sun are bitter enemies, it is no wonder that Saturn transiting this position can be so difficult for finances during Sade Sati. If your natal moon is Jyestha Scorpio Vimpat positions create obstacles and can lead to bad decisions and may manifest challenges during their dashas or when you have major transits like Rahu or Ketu or Saturn going through this position. It seems most connected to the 12 th house which often takes away wealth to point us toward moksha. Like the the 4 th house of happiness and security where moon and Venus are at home, the 4 th Nakshatra can bring contentment and feeling safe. Mars is worried about you violating your dharma. The key to the 5th position transit is fight or competes for what is right. If your moon is in Vishakha Nakshatra Libra To me this seems most connected to the 11 th house. Dashas of planets placed here usually do well.

The ancient lore of India is unique, for many branches, its attempt was to probe the mysteries of life and death. Of its lore, the most amazing has been the science of Jyotisha, Astrology. The lore is doubtless fascinating. From very early days, I have taken interest in friends and astrologers trying their skill on the planetary chart of the heavens at the moment of my birth, for that is what a horoscope is. I have never closed my mind to the science. In condemning astrology, we shut our face against a science, with a predetermined vision. If explored with patience, honesty and skill, it might perhaps break through the barrier which separates life from death, the present from the future; it might give an insight into man's endeavour and his ultimate destiny.
