Maybe the last time you went camping was at summer camp as a teen. The grounds feature a 4,square-foot pavilion for private events and 17 cabins in close proximity situated between the Berkshires and the Catskill mountains. At square-feet, the tiny house cabins are built of cedar and pine wood -- one wall of glass allows you to peer out on the woodland and mountain views from the comfort of your king-sized bed. Each cabin comes with a deck and locally sourced toiletries from 2 Note Hudsona toilet, sink, walk-in shower and plenty of natural beauty for photo opps. Ranging in size from square-feet and just 20 minutes from Boulder and one hour from Denver, these tiny homes can sleep up to six guests. While each tiny home varies, most have stovetops, some have Murphy beds, and they all include basic kitchen utensils and are outfitted with art from local artisans. Select locations also have a community clubhouse, freshwater pond, and beach cruisers. By partnering with landowners to utilize land that otherwise cannot be developed into hotels due to lack of infrastructure, Collective Retreats offers travelers picturesque backdrops they would otherwise be unable to experience. Beautifully-designed luxury tents feature locally-sourced decor, daily housekeeping service, curated on-site activities, and farm-to-table chef dinners -- aka Instagram goals. Starting this year, the Governors Island retreat will offer private boats for picnic tours of the harbor, ticketed events available to guests and the publicand weekly yoga and meditation sessions. Each Airstream, features revamped interiors which sleep up to 4 adults and include amenities like a toilet, shower, refrigerator, basic kitchenware, and a fold-out couch. Complimentary Public brand cruiser bikes are also available to guests so you can explore downtown Ojai, or hit the nearby bike trails for a more scenic ride. Furnished with stylish decor, each luxury yet eco-friendly! Feeling adventurous? You can book a package at any of their locations to include activities like white water rafting down the Colorado River or a Jeep tour through the Grand Canyon. KOA Ventura Ranch: California Glamping At Its Best
The Caravan Outpost was such a unique experience for our family. While known for the airstream accommodations which looked so cute, our family of 5 stayed in The Julian which was a 1 bedroom plus loft small cabin. Also had a small kitchenette. Just remember to bring your own bath supplies. The grounds are very nicely maintained with comfy couches and picnic tables for dining outside. Bikes are free they also have kid size bikes and a wonderful bike path which goes all the way to neighboring beach town Ventura is directly behind the Outpost. Hiking trails are very close by. My kids ages loved this unique spot! Hello there - wanted to thank you for your kind words. We appreciate you business and hope to see you again soon!! Kindly, CO Crew. Wandered into this great destination on a bike ride to Ojai since it's right on the bike path from Venturxa to Ojai. All tucked away in the palm trees giving good privacy. Furnished with stove, fridge, convection oven, towels, bedding and more. Turn key camping. And S'mores at nite. Super friendly front office staff. Very helpful. Walking distance, or bicycling to many fine restaurants in town. What would be great is getting a group together to rendezvous there. If you are tired of hotel living as I am, a unique change. After being in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, this was the perfect stop. It is a paradise. As soon as you step on the terrain, it feels like you are in a other world. The campfire at night was really nice including s'moreshere you meet different people from different parts of the world. Nice that they have an public restroom and shower, so you do not have to use the small shower in the airstreamer. The vintage store gave a real vacation feeling. Staff is very friendly as well. Nice idea, very nice staff. The vintage clothing store and the fire at night with scores included are the best part of the package. Price for what you get is a little too high. Everything about this place was amazing! The friendly staff, the concept, the s'mores happy hour, the thoughtful touches such as the branded plates and cups! I could make an entire grocery list of things I liked about this place.
Glamping Getaway! - Caravan Outpost
This 20' yurt sits on a hilltop overlooking the Oak-covered hills and orchards of Rancho La Vista. The yurt, it's fenced yard and deck offer complete privacy for stargazing, relaxing and recharging. Just two miles from downtown Ojai, it's the perfect escape! This charming, private yurt is nicely furnished with a comfortable queen size bed and high-quality linens and pillows. There is also a foldout couch for a child, or third adult. The simple kitchen is set up to make you feel at home with a small refrigerator and prep sink and an electric tea pot for for coffee or tea. An outside grill with a side burner offers additional cooking opportunities. This 20' Pacific Yurt is furnished for your comfort and enjoyment. After shopping at the Ojai Farmer's market on Sunday morning, prepare a local, organic meal and dine al fresco on the private deck overlooking a beautiful mountain. Take a stroll along the country road or take on one of the many beautiful hiking trails Ojai has to offer. Upon your return, enjoy a shower in the private bathhouse. End your day relaxing around the outdoor fire pit. The yurt is ideal for singles and couples --or a special getaway for friends! The yurt is situated on a private, fenced section of our three-acre hilltop. The owner's home is on the property as well, at the opposite end. There is parking for one car adjacent to the yurt. Entrance is through a private gate on the left. We are available by cell phone should you have any questions about Ojai or are in need of any assistance. The yurt will be ready for your arrival and appointed with everything needed for a wonderful Ojai retreat. Our hilltop property is located just two miles from town. There are also many wonderful hiking trails within minutes of the site. The beaches of Ventura are within a twenty-minute drive, and a day trip in Santa Barbara is just a minutes away. We strive to make this property as earth-friendly as possible by using environmentally safe dish soap, shampoo and hand soap, by providing recycled paper products and using propane when possible and low-wattage light bulbs. It is important to note that Ojai has warm summers and cool winters. There is a evaporative cooling unit in the yurt, but most guests choose to be out and about during the heat of the day. The yurt has four windows and two doors to allow the breeze to flow through in the summer. Ojai cools nicely in the evenings. Although there is a heater in the yurt, it can be chilly by morning, so we recommend having some warmer clothing available during these cooler months. We provide extra blankets for the bed during this time also. Please only flush toilet paper and use the trash bin in the bathroom as needed. We will clean the bathroom area every second or third day of your stay. Please use only the soap that is provided when washing dishes or showering. Please do not move the firepit to another location--it is currently in the safest spot. Krista is an amazing host who made us feel right at home. She gave us a quick tour of her property and was kind enough to leave filtered water and fresh squeezed orange juice from her garden in the fridge. We really enjoyed our stay here, this place is beautiful. We took full advantage of the grill and relax by the fire pit. This is a very special place located in the hills of Ojai. The yurt was immaculate and featured lovely amenities.
