Nioh 2 - Tier List: Best Weapon Type to Use in Nioh 2There are a lot of great weapons in Nioh 2. But of course, the best weapon is the one that fits your personal build the best. However, it's entirely possible to highlight a number of weapons objectively better than the rest. Each weapon in the list below offers a unique feature that you may not find in any other weapon in the game, and that's why they're so valuable. We also provide you with the locations of the smithing texts and recipes for each weapon, so you can easily track them down and add them to your build. Seething Dragon is a great mid-range weapon that is far more special than you might think. Seething Dragon also scales with Onmyo Magic skills. Here are the recommended ones for this weapon:. Firefly Blade, a Japanese Odachi greatsword, can be an excellent alternative to scythes and switchglaives. It has the same reach, but the damage output is higher. The distinct feature of the Firefly Blade is its Amrita Absorption ability, which recovers your health. Combine it with Yoshiie's Birthright gear, and you will be practically ubeatable. The speed and range of the Earthfall Kusarigama is perfect for Dexterity builds. Its main effect is Imbue Puritywhich inflicts extra Ki damage to your enemies depending on the level of their Purity resistance. Since Earthfall Kusarigama is compatible with Ninjutsuand Dexterity scaling performs exceptionally well for Ninjutsu in Nioh 2it makes this weapon the best Dexterity weapon in the game as of now. Although this incredibly fast pair of hatchets can deal a lot of damage when thrown, its main selling point is the unique and undeniably useful increased item drop rate effect. If you're looking to not only kill your enemies but also make sure that they drop good loot, then Barbarian's Hatchets would be the best choice in that case. If you're looking to enter the dark realm of Yokai spirits, then this would be the best weapon choice. Obviously, this is a highly specialized weapon, which you can only use against one type of enemy. But there is no better weapon if you want to unlock Yokai skills and weapons. All new players should start with simple swords. Onimaru Kunitsuna is one of the five great swords in Nioh 2which has an increased attack effect when consuming Amrita. This is an excellent weapon with a great balance of stats. You can obtain it by completing one of The Way of the Ninja missions beginning from the Adept stage or higher, which becomes available after you reach Level Skill and maneuverability are the two main effects of this dual sword weapon. Usually, spear is a safe choice due to its range, which can keep you at a distance while you're poking your enemies to death. The extra thrust damage can really hurt your opponents, and at the same time, it keep you at a safe distance from their own attacks. These were the best weapons in Nioh 2.

I've been having a lot of success with Odachi so far, but i have no idea what's good or bad later on. Seems like the tonfa is really weak in general. So, what do you guys think are the best weapon types in the game in a list from 1 to 7? Killzor Ver perfil Ver mensagens. I have had a lot of good results with the regular sword. The mastery skill that allows you to do almost double damage when behind an opponent is incredibly strong, almost OP. If I empty my enemies KI they are pretty hopeless to avoid an instant kill. The sword also has a lot of skills that do huge KI damage, good against humans as well as yokai bosses so you can stagger them often. I heard the spear is really safe and strong but i've never used it. Dual swords are good. PissythePanda Ver perfil Ver mensagens. From what I remember, and this is my personal experience, it was the Kurasarigama May have spelled that wrong. Specially if you were big into the whole Ninja tools and such. My entire build played on the PS4 when it came out was all about the Ninja tools, pretty sure I got it to the point where I was able to 3 shot the final bosses on Way of the Demon. As for a list, my personal list would be Kurasarigama 2. Dual Katana 3. Spear 4. Tonfa 5. Katana 6. Odachi 7. Axe I don't like slow weapons so they are automatically on the lowest of my list but I've seen people do well with them and I've seen people do terribly with them but never really thought, after getting help and they used one of them, wow, that guy was helpful. Was mostly, man This is for my playstyle so someone else may say otherwise. DarkFenix Ver perfil Ver mensagens. The tiering of weapons changes as patches come out, so I've no idea if anything I say is current. Kusarigama and dual swords tend to be regarded as god-tier easy mode weapons, apparently their damage output is monstrous relative to other weapons. After that people tend to rate the sword rather well.

The rarer the item, the more beneficial status effects it will possess. Equipping a weapon effectively requires a minimum value in specific Stats. You can level up stats to meet a minimum requirement by spending Amrita at Shrines. Equipping a weapon you do not meet the minimum requirements for results in a halved attack multiplier as well as an inability to make use of the passive Status Effects. I'm looking for explanations of the color based skill descriptions. I have items which have even a yellow colored text. Maybe this shows the rarity of the stat? So white, blue, purple, yellow in ascending order? Where can I find a list of all the new weapons from bloodsheds end? I saw two Odachi's I haven't found yet. Can i select my prefered weapon as the Tonkas so that i can start with them at the beginning of the game. Thanks in advance. What is the better option to do with a weapon? Disassemble, offer to get amrita, sell, or keep it in stock? Can every Katana has the same bonus effects? I mean I tried to get 'change on attack heart A-' but i could not. So, in the meantime i'm using Namiyogi Kanemitsu because it has this effect. Wait, I don't get it. There is no minimal requirements in strength or dexterity to use a weapon, right? So what is the point to level up this stats? Why not just use my points to level up Body Heart and Magic? So, Kusanagi Tsurugi is the best sword in the game, barring elemental weaknesses, or is this list incomplete? Hey great article I'm wondering what it means when your ranged weapon icons have a reddish background as opposed to normal gear colored icon. I'm think it might mine some inability to use the weapon fully? But they are no requirements for ranged weapons. So I'm still scratching my head on this one? Any idea? I notice sometimes it's red and sometimes it isn't. Hey all so I'm playing NIoh and Love it but I'm having a bit of confusion when it comes to understanding weapons.
