How to Reset the Radio After a Battery Replacement in a Ford FreestyleI removed the top and bottom plug-in sections from my original ICC and transplanted it to the premium unit. I found out that it accepted a CD and after a little while of mucking around, it actually turns on when I hold down the FM and MENU buttons for about seconds with the ignition on. A little more info. Hey mine come up with the same error and the car starts fine. You will usually see this on the ICC everytime you remove the battery. If you have not swapped the ICC, it should go away after you turn the car off then on again. Roby, you will need to tell us if you did anything to the car to create this problem, also the forum. And they appear to be in, but they arent. Since all this information security codes, tacho, speed, etc, etc is delivered by the CAN bus, leaving one of the plugs out somewhere along the chain could cause problems. My best guess anyways. I came here to look for a solution but didnt find one I removed the whole thing again and made sure everything was plugged in then plugged it back to car and put the 4 plugs in bottom of it it works perfectly again now I removed to clean cd player played first song of every disk then kept ejecting disks this should work guys doesn't try again if it works happy to help. Yep, you accidentally did the right thing. You have to ensure all of the connectors are as "home" as they can be and then just starting the car will remove the security code. Everything plugged up, the car started fine however the screen shows this: I found out that it accepted a CD and after a little while of mucking around, it actually turns on when I hold down the FM and MENU buttons for about seconds with the ignition on. The memory for the audio settings and CD seem to keep, but the FM station presets don't hold.
. You have to go to fraud, to get it unlocked. The good thing is that all the air con settings still work.

Turns out leaving the screen face down overnight did absolutely nothing to to it so that is debunked now I think. You might jam the stacker by flipping it when partially full of disks, but the screens themselves are not affected by being flipped. The control board, stacker mech and just about everything else is likewise different. We had two 5. And because the screens are not proper LCD colour, they don't have nav plugs. So we took those ones back and swapped them. They may be better internal designs, but without the color screens my carpoota dreams can't be realised. If you don't want to have to recode, that board has to follow you. We have 4 different versions of this board and none of them are cross compatible, so it might pay to make sure that the replacement is the same if you want to reuse the board. I had a changer, it was stuffed. The CD player works perfectly so presumably the firmware on the board can tell if it's a single disk or a stacker. If that goes the other way, then it means the stacker could be installed in a standard ICC just as easily. One of mine does, the other doesn't. I don't know how they added NAV to the ones that don't. This function is designed to prevent theft of the radio. Replacing the battery will also trigger the lock mode. The radio can only be reset by entering the security code that came with the Freestyle. If you no longer have the code, contact a Ford dealer to have them provide it for you. Press the radio power button to turn it on. Wait for the display to show the word "CODE. Press the radio preset number buttons to enter the code. The radio turns on automatically when the last digit of the code is entered.
