I'd check the connections on the tail light seeing as you think slamming the boot caused it then fuses and associated relays, If nothing then out with the multimeter and check where power is and is not, as for the other it could be anything easiest would be to have it plugged in and a OBD live scan done to find what's actually happening when the problem arises. Might be a silly question but did you code the injectors to the ECU? Did you use the old injectors in the same location they came out of or did the new head come with injectors. Either way, you either need to put the old injectors back in the same location or you'll need to write them into your ecu if you move them or use new used injectors. I'm sure this won't come up as a fault, not sure if the car would even start but you haven't mentioned or answered weather or not the coding was done. Ok, just checking, you never know.
