For example: a player with a soul memory of 45 million can invade a player with a soul memory of million, and vice versa. The Name-Engraved Ring reduces the soul memory required to invade and summon players in the "Top Tier". Another thing to note is the Cracked Blue Eye Orb, a player in the Top Tier can invade downwards to 15 million, however the increased range of the blue eye orb will allow players to invade others who are in the 12 million - 15 million range a sort of pseudo top tier and vice versa a 12 million player can invade infinitely upwards. By part of doing PvP a player will increase his soul memory, eventually to the point that you will start getting matched with players at a much higher soul level. Capping at does have a purpose though. If your intention is to participate in organised PvP events vs players at only, capping at can be for you, also if you want to only use the duel arena s. However if you want to be invaded by random players and invade random players, there is absolutely no reason to stop increasing your soul level, you will only weaken yourself in online play if you do not. Skill does determine the winner of some fights, but if you were to remain at and consistently increased your soul memory and say, managed to make it past 15 million The Top Tierthen you will find yourself facing players with soul levels in the hundreds, with 40 in all stats, or higher. However if one wishes to maintain a focused build there is no reason to continue increasing ones Soul Level. Spending them does not add to this total amount, merely earning souls add to this total amount, period. Collecting consumable items that grant souls upon use does not increase your Soul Memory. Using those items however will increase your Soul Memory. How are the ranges calculated? Soul Memory is divided into tiers, but the tiers are not hard boundaries. Instead, different multiplayer items extend across different amounts of neighboring tiers. So there's no direct math involved, it's a question of A What tier am I in? The Tiers Here is a list of the tiers. Bolded values in the left column indicate an increase in tier size. White Sign Soapstone. Small White Sign Soapstone. Cracked Blue Eye Orb. Red Sign Soapstone. Anyone know how this really works Yesterday I was invaded, and out of curiosity I compared games with other player I have no idea how anyone could consider this good game design.

The description for the calamity ring here is the same as tiny being's ring. Not Working, Please Help. Acording the sorcerer s guide, int should be at 24, why is on 8 and faith all the way up? I think the stats are off for the Sunlight Straight Sword; Divine Darksword does more damage than Divine SSS even though the pages of each says they should be identical. Is this right? Why does this build have such low Dex? The SCT must suck, no wonder you tell people to get the heater shield. I see that your still working on the thing, and well done so far. But could we have it work in reverse as well? It would be convenient and interesting to type in what kind of damage or defense you want, and then be able to see if it's worth it, or even possible before level Anyway, Thanks for the amazing site. I sure wish you could save your character to a file. That way I could load it up again later on. It show that ring of favor makes you take dobbel dmg. Hits: Unique Visitors: More polishing to follow. It should work well now, and it should stop resetting. Something about the counter is really buggy. I've been using a library, but I think I will write my own soon. That is now fixed, and, at the risk of jinxing myself, I think all tables are calculating perfectly. When I wrote the variables, I wrote two more than I should have, which later made me assume that the first Blue Eye Orb upper limit, and the second Blue Eye Orb lower limit were operating under the same formula, while they actually operating under the White Sign Soapstone's. That error was pointed out to me by illusorywalland is now fixed. You can read about the research and whatnot here. If anyone has any non-working level examples, let me knowand I'll take a crack at fixing this. However, to the best of my ability to tell, I think it's working perfectly. That's me. I had the idea to make this script, I'm the one who wrote it, and I did a good deal of the research. Aithere has been indispensible on this project. He provided me with a bit of additional information regarding a rounding quirk of the algorithm, which enabled me to reverse my initial algorithms, and perfect the calculator in the first place. He also linked this calculator on Redditapparently. Through coincidence, he also mused with me in the above-linked reddit thread about the Blue Eye Orb's mechanics, and even provided me some data points from his testing, both of which inspired me to do some research into how sin affects Blue Eye Orb invasions. He also pointed out an error I made in calculating the first upper and second lower ranges of the Blue Eye Orb, as well as a few other errors, typos, etc. Join VIP to remove all ads and videos. Calculations are based on the information available on the Online page, compiled by players during the original launch of the game. The ranges for Remastered change slightly, as detailed below the calculator. Compiled by jakemf The range is calculated from the host's perspective. These items have a lopsided invasion range, allowing an invader to invade higher than they can lower. The range is calculated from the invader's perspective. These items have a lopsided invasion range. Similar to the other invasion items, but with a wider range and they are instead calculated from the host's perspective. Some examples of the weapons are: Black Knight weapons, unique shields upgraded with twinklingunique weapons from tail cuts like Moonlight sword. Since DS:RE follows the DS3 rules, once these items are in your inventory, dropping, depositing, giving away still leaves a memory on that character. You can consider Unique Weapons by their upgrades. My friend who is level 50 and I at the time was level 56 are having a hard time summoning one another even if we both use the same password. Any tips in solving this issue? The boss of the area is alive as well. I was making a twink with stone armor, gravelord sword, and gravelord sword dance. Nice :D. Its a garbage mechanic that adds a stupid second layer of matchmaking. Sad bs just screwing the experience. Had dragon torso, went to Anor Londo and accidentally picked up an occult club Here's a good tip for what weapon level by zone to maximize online play. Pyromancy affects weapon scaling like regular titanite scaling. Don't touch any other upgrade material other then titanite shards. All upgrades past this point cut off more and more like level players for co-op. Remastered messed up matchmaking to a whole new level. Looking at the Xanathos set upgrading with twinkling makes me wonder if those also effect summon levels. It would be a shame if it did because I love looking like a thumb helping people against gargoyles. Hi I'm sl1. I can't beat the asylum demon. Where do I look for a summon sign? My sl is 20 btw. One thing this doesn't mention is that regardless of password, I don't think you can summon or be summoned from a different NG cycle. Love how the remaster restricts level ranges so much that PvP is pretty much dead outside of organized SL
